MOMENT Pop-Up Shops

In conjunction with the San Jose Downtown Association and Gensler, EHA has re-imagined the bottom floor of a busy parking structure. Acknowledged as a urban planning model for downtown revitalization, the MOMENT pop-up retail kiosks soften the hard edge of the parking structure and continues the vibrant street life of San Pedro Street previously only occurring on one side of the street. A linear parklet adjacent to the 4 retail spaces provide a widened area for seating and circulation. The project’s uncomplicated set-up and natural wood tones paired with bold color produce an inviting feel to the 1,400 SF retail experiment that provides a temporary home for small local businesses to garner attention and create a buzz for their products and wares. Pop-up retail tenants change every 1-2 months.
