For this restaurant serving progressive Indian Cuisine in San Francisco’s SoMa district, the design team developed a polished interior with sharp, elegant lines and saturated in a gloriously rich mix of blues and gold. High ceilings and chic decor create a nightclub feel appropriate for the first US restaurant opened by the client, known for their nightclubs in India. The high style and bold, vibrant colors give it a sense of glamor without being ostentatious, so guests can feel like they’ve walked into a Bollywood after-party without having to negotiate the red carpet. The space is open and inviting, but should diners want a more intimate, VIP experience, gold mesh curtains can be used to divide the dining room into semi-private areas. A luxuriously long marble bar provides ample elbow room for cocktails and conversation.
