What (or who) inspired you to choose a career in architecture

Jeffrey, Principal Architect:

“My path to Architecture started early (6-7) with a passion to draw (mostly cars, trucks, planes, etc). Then, at 12, I was given a “drafting set” (T-square, drawing board, triangles pencils, and templates) and I went nuts! I loved the ‘technical’ aspect of drawing more than I loved the free-hand. Next came a Drafting Class in Junior High…again, learning about Isometric Drawing and Precision Detailing…I was hooked. THEN, the second semester, they introduced us to Architectural Drawing (houses) and I went out of my mind. We began building models and then I knew this was what I wanted to do. 48 years later…still doin’ it!”
